Angry protesters in the Iraqi city of Basra reportedly set fire to the Kataeb Hezbollah headquarters this evening, local activists posted via social media.

This move comes as a large wave of protesters demonstrated across Iraq over a number of economic issues.

No one was reportedly harmed after the Kataeb Hezbollah building was set on fire, the local activists said.

Below is the video of the angry protesters setting the building on fire tonight:

Kataeb Hezbollah was one of the major Iraqi units that fought against the so-called Islamic State during the three-year long war from 2014-2017.

The Iraqi group also participated in the Syrian conflict on the side of the government; they would help seal the Iraqi-Syrian border earlier this year.

It is obvious that there are some paid thugs and opportunists among protesters to pretend all of this corruption is because of Hezbollah! They want people of Iraq to forget that Sadaam for years and years intentionally did not do anything for Shia parts of Iraq and they want Iraqis to forget the wars with Kuwait and the US invasion and ISIS that caused all of these damages on infrastructures.

And Iran-funded ISIS (merge between al-Qaeda and Ba’athist resistance) that prevented Iraq from normalising the situation and restarting a prosperous economy…
Hey, Iraqis have a long history and Alexander the Great already did the ISIS trick to them.
And frankly, they’d better all become atheists, so no more sectarian problems and no more people brainwashed into fighting for fairy tales.

@hestroy. Most likely he is right about IS doing this. But Iran is the most unlikely candidate to fund IS.

Oh, it was pernicious : at the start, Zarqawi was on Qaeda payroll, then Soleimani cooked an alliance with Ba’athists and Zarqawi broke from Osama, so the most of funding was on Saddamists’ spares, and they were allied with al-Douri’s private army (which only broke after the fall of Mosul), so Iran hadn’t to spend too much. Then, after, well, sales of blood oil mostly to Erdogan (well, there are also papers seized by YPG about some sales to Assad, thus these are very scarce), so the operation became self-funded. Note that you can read about such strategy in Machiavelli’s… Read more »

hestroy, I’m not a Jew. Actually, by Adolf’s standards, I’m even a perfect Aryan of the kind he liked a lot for the Waffen-SS 🙂 There is no hasbara, it’s simply recoupment and analyse… Same shït during the Ethiopian famine : I warned that humanitarian help needed to be delivered by the Blue Helmets+Red Cross, that how it was organised by NGOs, the food would be seized by warlords, sold and money would buy them weapons and make things even worst. I refused to give any money, saying it would be converted in bullets and people will end with lead… Read more »

IS pays them to arson Hezbolah buildings. No economic reason behind it.

Not even! Sadr movement! Not their first stuff in this style. They also stormed the Green-Zone in Baghdad, including the parliament… Shia islamo-nationalists (fascists?), they’re anti-US and anti-Iran and now allied with Iraqi commies (!) in an anti-sectarian alliance (!) and this alliance ended with 1st group in parliament (54 MP on 349. Abadi party ended #2 with 47 MPs in the May election). It’s likely these were infuriated by Qassem Soleimani’s death threats on Iraqi politicians in order to interfere in the coalition building and also Velayati said he wouldn’t allow an Iraqi government with liberals and communists. Actually,… Read more »

Feeding cockroaches? Doesn’t SAA knows that irregular combatants are NOT protected by the Geneva+Hague convention and so can be executed on the spot unless your country’s law or signed treaties say the contrary?
As Churchill wrote, all jihadists contracted the equivalent for mankind of what hydrophobia rabies is for dogs…
And there’s only one thing to do with a rabid dog.

Last time they fücked with IDF, they had 2,000 active fighters and maybe 3-4k reservists, they ended with 2100+ casualties including about 750 deaths… The 3rd of your active troops lost is one of the worst blow I ever heard about for any “army”… For the wahharabids, well, since I don’t remember them having messed with Jaysh-al-Islam in Syria, visibly, they’ve more dealt with non-Saudi type salafascists… When it comes to Iraq, the biggest of the cleansing was made by the Kurds and the Iraqi army, for Syria, Putin said that the only forces really fighting ISIS on the ground… Read more »

His inane blather is annoying…but I no longer pay any attention to him, I don’t even down-click him. I figure that if he is ignored, his masters will pull him out and send him to another site. I ran into him as another ID on another site. He forgets about not repeating the exact same BS elsewhere, as it identifies him easily. His goal is to disrupt exchanges any way he can, as very little he says bears any relation to reality. Too bad SF doesn’t permit blocking.

Verify by yourself, you’ll even end with Nasrallah’s quoting when he said that, had he knew IDF would react so violently, he wouldn’t had started the war. and there are multiple sources that have estimated casualties. In such cases, I always take a middle number, some sources even point 2500+ casualties for Hezb with 850-900 dead.
The Putin quote is on Youtube and reproduced in many places…

We’re not in mountains here, cattle is cows, bulls and pigs.
For love I rely on my woman and well, she’s pretty hot, well, sometimes a bit too hot tempered too, but hey, so are women.
When it comes to bestiality, as I suppose you understate this, there is no Haddith saying it’s OK in our society, in fact, although I didn’t inquired about the subject but I think I once heard that you may get 2 years in jail for zoophilia, same for a practise your Haddiths say your “razul” had : necrophilia…
So, how was your love with a cadaver?
