BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels just lost another imperative hilltop in the western countryside of Damascus after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched another big assault in the Beit Jinn pocket.
Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by capturing Tal Al-Bayda, which is located in the western part of the Beit Jinn pocket.
Following the capture of Tal Al-Bayda, the Syrian Army launched a big assault on Tal Maqtoul Al-Gharbiyah from their positions at the recently captured hilltop of Tal Maqtoul Al-Sharqiyah.
Not long after launching the attack, the Syrian Army was able to impose full control over Tal Maqtoul Al-Sharqiyah, forcing the remaining jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham to withdraw to the nearby town of Mughar Al-Mir.
As of now, the Syrian Army is at the northern gates of Mughar Al-Mir, while another allied force pushes towards the town from its western flank.
