BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels launched a major counter-offensive tonight at the strategic Abu Dhuhour Military Airport in eastern Idlib, a source told Al-Masdar News.

According to the report from Idlib, the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched a big assault on the towns located southwest of the Abu Dhuhour Airport, resulting in the capture of two of them.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was able to capture the towns of Rabeeah and Khurybah this evening, following a fierce battle with the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces.

The goal of this attack is drive the Tiger Forces away from the southern flank of the airport; however, this counter-offensive may be short-lived, as government reinforcements are moving to this front tonight.
