BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:10 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo launched a new attack on the provincial capital this afternoon, a source from the city told Al-Masdar News.
The Turkish-backed National Liberation Front (NLF) reportedly fired several artillery shells and missiles towards the New Aleppo District, causing a number of explosions inside the civilian neighborhoods.
No casualties have been reported thus far.
In response to the jihadist attack, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a number of missiles towards the Rashiddeen 4 and 5 areas.
This latest attack by the Turkish-backed rebels comes just days after the opposition groups refused to exit the designated buffer zone in the Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, and Hama provinces.
