BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:05 A.M.) – Israel will ‘eliminate’ Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad if he continues to allow Iran to operate
inside Syria, the Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz told YNet on Monday.

Steinitz told the Israeli publication that Assad should know his end is near if he continues to allow Iran access to military bases inside of his country.

Furthermore, the Energy Minister spoke about the threat to Israel’s national security by letting Iran have access to Syrian bases.

“It’s unacceptable that Assad sits quietly in his palace and rebuild his regime while allowing Syria to be turned into a base for attacks on Israel,” he said.

Israeli officials have recently warned that Iran is planning to avenge the loss of their soldiers from the T-4 Airbase attack late last month, prompting the country to raise its alert levels.

They must be very very angry because their mercenaries from al Qaeda, ISIS and other rented psychopaths are losing the war. And in the EU nobody protests.

These mercenaries are paid by Saudi-Arabia and Qatar. Israel’s economy weights the half of Switzerland and Israeli citizens already pay very high taxes to maintain a powerful army ability to take care of any threat, the economy doesn’t allows to dilapidate the billions spent to destabilise Syria. Just think that the New Syrian Army fiasco costed more than half a billion $ to the Yanks and it was a pretty small force. Saudis and Qataris dilapidated real fortunes with gangs like Jaysh al-Islam etc etc etc…

The world should put a total embargo against the illegal, zionist entity known as “Israel” until their apartheid and terrorist regime falls, then demilitarize the country and make peace while of course returning the occupied territory of Syria and Lebanon to their rightful nations.

Actually, this ‘entity’ is absolutely legal and its absolutely legal map under international law includes Golan Heights, it dates from 1922 with the San Remo treaty, the state of Syria was only established in 1947. It’s only up to Syria or Lebanon to make peace, just like Egypt or Jordan did. You seem to forget that it was the Arab-League that decided to attack Israel and more than once. Nobody forced them into starting the 1948 war, then into doing the attrition war then the war on water, then starting the 1967 war with a blockade of Tiran strait and… Read more »

You often have a correct and precise analysis, except when it comes to Israel. The ‘nobody forced the Arab league’ to attack Isreal is not a good argument. Nobody forces a patient suffering from cancer to seek chemotherapy either. Its common knowledge that the Israeli settlers pushed the Arabs out in something akin to an ethnic cleansing. They had a conflict of arms coming to them but unfortunately, they won. And that ‘Shoah’ argument is also a grotesque exageration but I wont go into that.

May I ask, are you jewish?

Israel as a country not exist in 1922. Israel declare itself in 1948 (14 May), after Syria became independent parliamentary republic in 1945 and one of the UN founder member. So what kind of logic You try to use (kind of Cali logic ?) to justify Israel ‘rights’ to rule Golan Heights ???

Israel has attacked Iranians in Syria – Iranians have not attacked Israeli from Syria. Currently Israel tries to goad Iran and Syria into a counter attack. Any counter attack will give Israel a pretext for a large scale aggression against Syria. This must be avoided at any cost while the US and the munāfiqūn in Turkey and in the land of the Bani Saud pay ghazi mercenaries to stage a fitn- insurrection against the Syrian Arab Republic.

Actually, Iranian mullahs and ayatollahs started the bad trip by funding/arming Hezbollah for the 2006 war, and also by funding Hamas, despite Hamas=Muslim Brotherhood so they vow to exterminate Shias as much as Jews. You seem to forget that the Hague convention says that attacking by proxy or directly attacking are exactly the same thing : a de facto declaration of war! Now I deeply despise Netanyahu as he’s a freaking a$$hole, but I absolutely agree with Putin when he says that the Iranian attitude towards Israel is intolerable. Their constant threats of destroying the state of Israel also violate… Read more »

Hamas is an Israeli fabrication. If there was one organisation that truly reppresented the palestinian insurgency, it is no doubt the PLO.

So they attack Iran and then they are afraid of a response. Only the Jew cries out in pain as he strikes you.

I don’t think they’re afraid.
I think Israeli far right (the Jewish Home) which is in coalition with Bibi’s Likud, wants it, so they’ll have an excuse to demolish Iran’s nuke power plants Russians are building there.

The stupidity of Steinitz is beyond belief. Check with the other murderers in your regime to find out Assad has been a target for years. Oh, by the way, pack your bags in the Golan because Syria wants their oil wells back.

Illegal under international laws, even threatening this is illegal, and it’s not the minister of energy’s job to do so

Why on earth does Israel behave in such a way as to drive Assad into the arms of Iran? Syria is a secular country with no wish to replace a Sunni tyranny with a Shiite tyranny. But it cannot be denied that Iran, together with Russia, have saved Syria from becoming a Wahhabist h**l-hole, which would ultimately be a far worse neighbour for Israel. After seven years of awful war, there is nothing Syria wants more than peace. Syria understands that as long as Iran spouts phrases such as “we’ll wipe Israel off the map”, Israel will be rightly concerned… Read more »
