BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:05 A.M.) – In the town of Azaz (currently under the occupation of Turkish-backed militants), an ISIS car bomb has exploded in the last hour. According to Turkish reporters on the border with Syria, the attack left dozens of people dead and wounded – including both civilians and Free Syrian Army (FSA) paramilitaries.
The SVBIED (suicide vehicle-borne improved explosive device) targeted a government building which was being used by FSA officials for administrative purposes. The car bomb was able to get right in front of the target building before detonating.
There are reports that some of the people wounded in this attack are being transferred to hospitals in Turkey.
The pictures below depict some of the destruction and chaos which has engulfed the town, with members of the White Helmets (found only in non-ISIS militant-controlled parts of Syria, despite being promoted as a nationwide service) also being present on the scene.
