Several hours after the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” (Al-Hamza Brigade) arrived to the Al-Sha’ar Gas Fields, the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) launched a new assault on this imperative site in the northeastern countryside of Homs.
The ISIS assault proved successful as they were able to capture wells 101, 103, and 105 from the Syrian Armed Forces in a matter of two hours this morning.
With these wells captured, the terrorist just needs to capture wells 102 and 104 before taking full control of the Al-Sha’ar Gas Fields from the Syrian Armed Forces.
Clashes are still ongoing between the two parties; however, ISIS is still advancing, despite the recent airstrikes by the Russian Air Force.
If the Syrian Armed Forces are unable to maintain control over wells 102 and 104, they will be on the verge of losing all of Jabal Al-Sha’ar to the ISIS terrorists.
