BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:50 P.M.) – Intense clashes broke-out between the jihadist rebels and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the northwestern suburbs of Aleppo tonight.
The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched several missiles and artillery shells towards the northwestern districts of Aleppo this evening, prompting a powerful response from the Syrian Arab Army shortly after.
According to a military source in the provincial capital, the Syrian Arab Army launched a barrage of missiles towards the jihadist-held suburbs of Kafr Hamra and Al-Layramoun, scoring direct hits on a number of targets.
Both parties are now exchanging heavy artillery and missiles in the Al-Zahra’a Association Quarter, as they seek to inflict as much damage on one another’s defenses.
Tonight’s clashes in northern Aleppo mark the first time in several days that the jihadist rebels and Syrian Arab Army have exchanged hostilities in these suburbs.
