BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 A.M.) – At approximately 5:00 A.M. (local time), the Gulf-backed troops launched the largest military operation of the Yemeni War, with the goal being the Hodeideh Port.

Backed by heavy airstrikes from the Arab Coalition, the Gulf-backed troops stormed the Houthi positions just south of the Hodeideh Airport.

While no gains have been reported yet, pro-Houthi media activists have reported reported heavy clashes south of the Hodeideh Airport and intense air raids over the entire province.

The provincial capital of Hodeideh is the last major port that is under the control of the Houthi force; if they lose it, they will be besieged via land, air, and sea.

The UAE-backed Southern Resistance forces and their allies from the Yemeni Republican Guard recently sent a large number of reinforcements to this front in a bid to capture Hodeideh.

In response to this massive pro-regime build-up, the Houthi forces and their allies have also moved a large number of fighters to this front.

More details to come as this offensive progressives…
