BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the first batch of rebels from the southern Damascus district of Al-Qadam departed to the Idlib Governorater after an agreement was put in place with the Syrian government.
According to a military source in Damascus, the rebel fighters from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham loaded two buses in Al-Qadam this evening; they were the first militants to leave the district.
Another batch of rebels are expected to leave in the next 48 hours, as the Syrian government continues to transport the militants to the Idlib Governorate.
Despite threats from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in the nearby Yarmouk Camp District, the rebel fighters in Al-Qadam accepted terms from the Syrian government to leave the area this week.
