BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:09 A.M.) – Elite forces of the Syrian Arab Army and allied paramilitary groups have made a record push against ISIS across territories held by the terrorist group in the country’s northwest, capturing some 16 towns in just a matter of hours.

Moments ago, military-affiliated sources reported that the Syrian Army – led by the elite Tiger Forces Division – and pro-government militias expelled Islamic State militant from the towns and villages of Butushiat, Abu Drykht, Tal Abu Drykht, Ghazalat, Umm Eija, Umm Abh, Muilah Shamaly, Khirbat Umm Rujm, Abu Hilal, Rasem Tawil, Rasem Tawil Sharqiyah, Tawal Dabaghin, Tilijat, Murayjib Talijat, Al-Harsh and Muslenata.

The the assault which led to the mammoth advance was kicked-off today morning and all sixteen aforementioned settlements were cleared of ISIS fighters during just several hours of clashes.

All the recently seized towns and villages are located throughout the areas of southern Aleppo, southeast Idlib and northeast Hama within which the so-called Islamic State group maintains a now rapidly shrinking bastion.

Remind me much of the successful advances to the Euphrates last year.
When the SAA also managed to prevent the IS from stabilizing its fronts.
