DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:30 P.M.) – The US-coalition Air Force has conducted airstrikes against ISIS positions in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, targeting a chemical depot for the terror group which resulted in the death of hundreds of militants as well as civilian, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said in an official statement.

“Yesterday between 17:30 – 17:50 p.m., the so-called anti-ISIS coalition fighter jets struck an ISIS position in Hatla village to the east of Deir Ezzor. After the airstrike, a huge white cloud was formed –later on turned yellow – as a result of an explosion in a chemical depot. A hug fire broke out until 22:30 p.m. Hundreds have been killed – including civilians – as a result of breathing toxic materials,” the statement detailed.

The official statement said this incident confirms beyond any doubt that “terror groups, particularly ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra, already own chemical weapons, and have the ability to obtain, transport, store and use such chemical agents with the help of some regional countries. This also stresses the fact that those terror groups are coordinating with its sponsors to accuse the Syrian Arab Army of using chemical weapons.”

The Syrian government forces have been accused of using Sarin gas against rebels in Khan Sheikhoun on April 4th, which killed at least 74 people.

The alleged attack has prompted the US to strike al-Shayrat airbase in central Homs with 59 cruise missiles.

The Russian military should bomb the US airfield IMMEDIATELY. It MUST have been a chemical attack ordered by Trump. We have ‘ Social Media evidence from ISIS ‘ that give us a ‘Highly Certain Degree of Certainty’ that Trump is worse than Hitler and ordered this cowardly attack on peaceful civilians and babies, ‘Bootiful Babies ‘ 🙂

I demand a UN meeting about this NOW. 🙂

I don’t agree! Trump should ordre US-Navy to shoot 59 cruise missiles against Incirlik or al-Udeir air-bases! Trump can only be sure that USAF has dropped barrel bombs with Sarin! They’ve crossed the red line 😆

3 things:

1. They finally actually hit a chemical depot, one run by actual terrorists

2. Why didn’t Russia intercept the US fighter jets?

and 3. what will happen now with the realization that terrorists have chemical weapons?

1. Very likely to be real!
2. As long as USAF bomb terrorists, it’s OK for Russia and even OK for Assad : it’s efforts that don’t weight on their budgets!.
3. SNAFU 😆 Simply way out for de-escalating with the Russian. Pentagon surely decided that these stupid diplomatic games had to cease 😉

@Daeshbag,
I am waiting for the US to state that ‘ The Russians must have hacked our Command and Control Targeting data and a Syrian agent planted the gas in our legitimate target. We assumed it was a School ‘ 🙂

As for Diplomacy, the US has for a long time relied exclusively on Gun Boat Diplomacy.

The Russian Air Force is in Syria to protect Russian military personnel and support Russian military objectives; they do not ‘control the skies’, that is is the Syrian Air Force’s remit.
Furthermore it should be abundantly clear by now that Russia prefers diplomacy over conflict.
The excellent military analyst The Saker aptly remarked:
Russia is afraid of war; the US is not.
Russia is ready for war; the US is not.

This was not an attack on ISIL but rather an attack on infrastructure. If ISIL put up thousands of tents in the desert away from civilization the devils is DC would not bother them.

Nope Henry : look, the Union Carbide (UCAR) factory in Bophal, India, while not even containing chemical weapons, by having just a Methyl Isocyanate leak, killed about 4000ppl, some even claim 16k and near 560k were injured. A single bombing by Saddam, using CW killed 5000 in a Kurdish small town, 100/200 or even 500 is the result of medium chemical agents, i.e. mixing chlorine+phosgen and other shits while chlorine alone is rarely lethal. If you have really serious CW agents like Sarin, VX, Tabun, etc etc, they’re 80 to +100x more toxic than cyanide, body count is more likely… Read more »

This action demonstrates that U.S. decision makers responsible for the attack on Deir Ezzor had no concerns about dropping bombs from aircraft on a site KNOWN to harbour chemicals that could react to release gas and kill civilians — as reportedly did happen. In comparison, there is substantial evidence already at hand to discredit ‘Whitehouse evidence’ so far made available to justify the U.S. missile attack that killed civilians (see W. Pistol, R. Parry and a series of reasonable points made in an interview of Assad, rebroadcast this morning by BBC).
