BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:08 A.M.) – Over the course of late Friday night to very early Saturday morning, elite shock troops of the Syrian Arab Army captured from jihadist-led militias another three towns in the southeastern countryside of Idlib province amid ongoing offensive operations.

According to military-affiliated sources, the hours of pitch darkness over the course of Friday night to Saturday morning witnessed assault units of the Syrian Arab Army’s elite Tiger Forces Division operating in southeast Idlib gain control over the villages of Al-Nasiriya, Luwaibida and East Luwaibida from jihadist-led militias.

Moreover, Syrian troops also captured Jabal Al-Kafi after they stormed militant positions atop the mountain ridge.

The advance, made at night, indicates that Syrian forces in Idlib province may be expanding the scope and pace of their offensive operations throughout the predominately rebel-held region, having perhaps identified a general weakness in militant defenses (a reality which justifies the undertaking of risky night assaults).
