DAMASKUS, SYRIEN (2:00) – Am Donnerstag beendeten einige weibliche Anwärter die Polizeiakademie in Damaskus erfolgreich, nachdem sie in den vergangenen Monaten eine umfangreiche Ausbildung absolviert haben.

Die weiblichen Polizeibeamten konnten bei Schulungen für das AK-47 Gewehr und bei Schulungen für Sicherheitsoperationen gesehen werden. Insgesamt haben sich rund 50 Frauen für den Dienst bei der syrischen Polizei angemeldet.

Die neu graduierten Polizeibeamten sind als Personenschützer spezialisiert und wurden speziell auf Sicherheitsszenarien geschult. In Zukunft werden sie hochrangige Mitglieder der syrischen Regierung bei öffentlichen Auftritten schützen und die Sicherheit in neulich befreiten Städten herstellen.
