DAMASCUS, SYRIA (0:50 A.M.) – Yet another propaganda video has been released by ISIS’ media wing, this time depicting a large-scale attack in southern Deir Ezzor.
Amid reports of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) gearing up for stage three of the ‘Big Dawn’ offensive, ISIS preemptively targeted government-held positions east of Humimah town, presumably to prevent government forces from retaking the border with Iraq.
A few SAA soldiers are shown killed-in-action. Viewer discretion is therefore advised:
The footage itself is believed to be roughly a week old, heavily compiled and edited by ISIS-aligned propaganda contributors.
Following the liberation of the provincial capital, the SAA now hopes to recapture much of Deir Ezzor province, thus spelling an irreversible end to the self-proclaimed caliphate.
