Aleppo, Syria (11:30 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), backed by Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), continued their powerful assault in the northern countryside of Aleppo City on Friday, targeting the northern sector of the jihadist controlled Handarat Refugee Camp.
According to some activists in Aleppo, the Syrian Armed Forces captured the Steel Plant near the small village of Breijj; however, sources from Liwaa Al-Quds claimed that this site was under their control prior to the assault today.
The steel plant was under attack by the jihadist rebels of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki a few days ago, but that assault was repulsed by the Syrian Armed Forces after a quick battle.
The Syrian Armed Forces are attempting to advance at a number of axes near the Handarat Camp today, including the Shaker District axis, which is currently the location of the most intense firefights taking place.
