Los aviones saudíes arrojaron miles de folletos sobre la ciudad portuaria de Hudaydah el miércoles, advirtiendo a los civiles para que no cooperaran con las tropas lideradas por los huzíes y ayudaran al gobierno de Hadi a restaurar su control sobre el país.

En esos folletos arrojados en la capital provincial se podía leer:

“Queridos miembros de la familia en Hudaydah. El control de las milicias huzíes sobre la ciudad portuaria de Hudaydah sólo aumentará el hambre y evitará la llegada de la ayuda y la medicina al pueblo yemení. Únete a nuestras fuerzas legítimas para la estabilidad de Yemen y su gente”.

Con Arabia Saudí situando una flotilla naval en el Mar Rojo para capturar Hudaydah, el gobierno de Saná emitió el martes un decreto para que el comandante de la Guardia Republicana Yousef al-Madani elaborara planes para la defensa de las regiones de Hajjah y Hudaydah.

También fue promovido a Mayor General, según informó el corresponsal de Al-Masdar News sobre el terreno en Saná, Naseh Shaker.

La provincia de Hudaydah está enteramente bajo el control del gobierno con sede en Saná, que en su mayor parte está compuesto por elementos de la tribales de los huzíes.
