El convoy que transportaba al enviado especial de la ONU a Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, estuvo bajo fuego el lunes en el aeropuerto internacional de Saná, según fuentes de Sky News Arabia.

El enviado especial del Secretario General de la ONU en Yemen llegó a Saná este lunes en medio de tensiones en la capital yemení. Los huzíes se negaban a reunirse con él.

Los manifestantes se reunieron hoy cerca del aeropuerto internacional de Saná antes de la llegada del enviado de la ONU para exigirle que usara su influencia contra el gobierno de Hadi, que aunque exiliado es el gobierno reconocido por la ONU.

Los manifestantes exigían que Hadi pagara los salarios del funcionariado en Saná y que se levantara el bloqueo impuesto por Arabia Saudí.

Fuentes de seguridad en el aeropuerto internacional de Saná negaron las acusaciones de que el convoy fuera atacado. “Después de la llegada del enviado de la ONU al aeropuerto, la policía disparó en el aire para dispersar a los manifestantes”, dijeron fuentes de seguridad a Al-Masdar News.

Los altos funcionarios huzíes que controlan Saná y casi todas las provincias del norte de Yemen dijeron que reunirse con el enviado de la ONU a Yemen es “una pérdida de tiempo”.
