BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:20 P.M.) – Assassinations of high ranking jihadist commanders have resumed in northwestern Syria as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) prepares to launch a new offensive in southeast Idlib.

Last night, a high ranking jihadist commander from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was killed by unknown assailants in the southeastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

According to opposition activists via social media, the field commander of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, “Abu Abdel-Samee”, was killed on Tuesday night when unknown assailants opened fire on his villa near the town of Kafr Nabl.

No group has claimed responsibility for the assassination.

Opposition activists have accused Syrian Arab Army operatives of carrying out this latest assassination of a Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham commander in the Idlib province.

It is not an assassination. It is an elimination of a dangerous terrorist, that is.
