BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:05 P.M.) – Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, alongside his wife and children, visited the historical Christian village of Saydnaya in rural Damascus on Sunday in order to commemorate the Christmas holiday.

Assad and his family greeted hundreds of church-goers outside a monastery in Saydnaya, offering warm wishes on this Christian holiday.

The Assad family took a tour around the historical city for several hours on Sunday with the nuns of the Our Lady of Saydnaya Monastery.

Last year, the Assad family traveled to the liberated town of Ma’aloula to celebrate Christmas, marking their annual holiday visit with the Christians of Syria.

    • You forget that the serious rats behind all this crap are in the region. the western action is much more limited if not null than many may think. I’m not talking aboutt diplomatic blah blah or PR bullshits, I’m talking about acts.

      • you should shorten your name to Daeshbag only, you dont rest even in Christmas dont you? whitin you call diplomatic bullshit, it isincluded supply of weapons to moderate headchoppers, as it is included the refusal to list gropus like Al Zenki as terrorist therefore sparing themfrom being targeted by Air Forces, plus supplying them with ATGMs, directly by US and Allies.Let me be clear, without your so called “western diplomacy” Syrian Arab Army would have obliterated all those wahabi terrorists in a few months, so I dont get what the fck are you trying to point out with your continuously apologetic comments,US UK FRANCE andsome other Euro countries to a lesser extent ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INVASION OF SYRIA BY TERRORIST FORCES, NO IFs, NO BUTs!!!!

        • Extremely bad analysis from you. Why? Because with all the money involved by KSA and Qatar it wouldn’t make ANY difference. Actually, mark my words, things would even get worst as Kurds, Yazidis, Assyrians and Christians would have been exterminated in northern Syria and around Sinjar in Iraq.
You are exactly in the reverted bias the MSM use with moreover serious flaws in both what you recoup from the intel you don’t even try to gather. And now, if your easy view can dig the consequences of having released EVERYBODY from the Syrian jails has created as a situation : this sole decision made things MUCH worst than anything you can charge on all westerners cumulated, including your biases as what’s happening is actually the result of the politics of regional powers and you fucking even don’t understand that there are actually serious efforts in the west to help the Syrian govt despite some crooked politician but also at least 2 extremely rich men which both weight about 30bln$ and have spent a lot campaigning in the medias and there may even be some honest politicians too that you might wrongfully accuse while they are actually really committed into destroying jihad but you can’t understand that if done too openly, it’d seriously damage their economies with already millions of unemployed.
.338Lapua’s a good caliber but .408CheyTac is even better, thus, for some uses I’d prefer a good ole highly customised M2carbine : you can consider using .25 or .22Garin and make it having performances even more interesting than AK-74/74U but you can also cook homemade wildcats from the .30carbine using a .300winch 250grains and get a very interesting subsonic 800J bullet with great aerodynamics that will be very interesting with a silencer.
As you probably won’t understand the metaphor, being a nag with heavy caliber is not always the best thing to do, there are jobs where you have to be subtle and that must be done silently… You simply can’t get such notion and there are no good guy in this affair but it’s also a thing you can’t get.
You see it as another western plot while it’s actually not : just think about it : what profit could be made at global EU level or even at solely French level, according to everything that happened since 2011.
Now, at the diplomacy level, which ends without consequences due to the vetoes @ UNSC, yeah, French diplomacy actually makes everything to piss off Russia, right? Thus, guess whose state owned banks leases money to a French far right party and well, here again, they are MUCH more dangerous than what they say publicly since the daughter of the founder took over daddy : she’s a lawyer and so doesn’t falls in the trap of being an apologetic of racism and avoids hate-speech but she simply takes care due to anti-hate-speech/racism laws… Last election they managed to score near 30%. If Tsar Vladimir wants ending with a someone who grew up in a former Nazi Kommandantür and will make look Killary as a pussy being at the head of the 3rd nuke power with planes that can fly over a S-400 radar without being noticed and with an ideology very near of one that killed about 26M Russians… Errr, you know, the cement-plant that had business deals with Daesh, you’ll never guess who inherited this business long ago… Wasn’t it daddy LePen? Do you think interfering in our internal politics will be without consequences? BTW, the Mistral-class deal was cancelled but the technology transfer was fully made, so Russia can build their own anytime they want and it includes the capability to make them 230m long with a ski-jump and an +200m landing strip, classic aircraft carrier style so many thanks for helping our neo-fascists…
What is very sad in this world is that too many people don’t have a clue on how things really works : it’d be so much easier to makes things much better if there was at least 51% of populations with such understanding.
Anyway, with people like you, two days ago, everything was caused by the Jews, yesterday it was the US, today it’s the EU, tomorrow it’ll be the Armenians, in 2 days it’ll be the Kurds, in 3 days, it’ll be the LGBT and next week the Chineses. You’re simple unable to face reality. Have fun in your Lala-land and… Better never question yourself : you may end turning your .338 against yourself!

          • The difference between you and me is that you seems to be willing to accept the continuation of a corrupted system just because its fall would mean the end of way of living, and you go fo so far as to justfy inaction. I do know how entangled Saudi money is on western economies, but faced with this reality I sustain that the first to do is to unmask the situation, of course not profit is to be made by France as a Nation, but the point is, France, UK US have not had anyone who cares about the Nation in charge for a very long time, De Gaulle or Petain? I like them both, however I think Zarkozy,Hollande and a lot before them should be made to stand in front of a wall and face a Mauser 98k.Cement factories are just a detail, when compared to the gross stance of Hollande pro “Moderate terrorist” position. For all your claims regarding military power of France, how is it possible they can not stand up to a Saudi Kinglet, how is it possible they lob sanctions to Russ like hand grenades but do not even talk about sanctioning KSA or Turkey??? I will believe you the day I see Sanctions being applied to KSA, Turkey, the day I see the words Saudi Regime instead of Saudi government used by western governments and Newspapers, the day I see Turkey being expelled from Nato and Erdogan being prosecuted by aiding and abetting terrorism.Basically the day I see western economies bit the bullet and fire a howitzer in the direction of the Birthplace and creaddle of wahabism instead of the airguns beign currently used. The day I see Russian government received with honours and oil Kinglets and princes refused entry to France,UK ans US. 338L would be to litle for such jobs, I want big guns fired and then we will see who is fighting next to who, who is your friend an who your enemy.

          • First of all, .338, ALL Saudi money is western money. The Saudi kingdom, just like the Zionist state (among others), is nothing but an Anglo/Euro-Zionist/post-Eisenhower (the last true American president) US colony. And any ACTION they take is at the behest of their colonial masters. Only the bought and paid (sellouts, as you have observed) or the ignorant will either deny or dispute this.

Anyone whose capacity for analysis is so limited as to suffer the “Wizard Of Oz” dilemma -paying no attention to the man behind the curtain- really shouldn’t pretend to accomplish analytical depth, or to accuse others of lacking the same. But, those inclined to such pretensions generally lack the capacity for actual self-criticism or self-reflexivity. Thus presumption and pretension ensue.

Additionally, a narcissist will ALWAYS react to any disagreement or criticism with the very same type of attack which their own self-loathing, insecure, ego, most fears. So, take care with whom you interact.

          • Thanks for your comment, I somehow knew what you just said it is just that sometimes i make a last effort dispell the myth presented by people like Deshbag even though in general he first write a book accusing me of many ridiculous things for then never bother to answer when I nail it.All that proves even more what you just said. Regards

    • L’endroit à l’air vraiment superbe. L’espèce d’abatiale de la première photo est trop mini. c’eut été dommage que des fros trouducs aient fait de la casse là.

  1. i have been following the non msm news on syria for over a year now, much of the time at amn. british people are not bad just misled by the nato war room and all its friendly publications

    • Actually, you seem to not understand what NATO is and it’s not without reason that I simply say no -although being very supportive to the idea of an EU army and scrapping NATO to build an EU/Russia alliance- but, nope, NATO is not at all a political entity or a PR/crapaganda/psy-ops thing, its prerogatives are totally different than most of people think. You should at least read the Wikipedia article about it, you’ll even be amazed as Russia is ABSOLUTELY a partner for NATO! YEEEEES! I’m not joking! You will even find common operations or drills, that’s even why Putin/Lavrov proposed to coordinate the job in Syria!
What you have working in the crapaganda domain is mostly the fact of some billionaires, a well known one who is even likely to get into troubles in UK after having been near to send the £ at the bottom of the chanel, s.o. very linked to Avaaz, the Syrian Campaign, the Ukraine Campaign, etc. There are also people linked to Petrofac or the Rockefeller family, an extremely rich Saudi prince with serious shares in the western medias seems to be around, close circles to a royal family in the Gulf who have shares in both the medias and some well known soccer clubs are seemingly messing around, the WhiteHelmets have been founded by a former brit military that is very active in Arabian charity-NGO stuff (why do I smell M*6 odour?), Netflix released a staged movie so well, when 2 dudes weighting each one +30bln$ are implied, you can expect some serious propaganda, now, add 100M$ help mostly from USAid and some EU states that have been convinced (on very dubious grounds) that WH was a serious humanitarian NGO as their supposed leader who visited many EU politicians is a real taqiyya master while speaking to them. Had a hard time made some prominent ppl engaged in humanitarian action that met him at conferences to question if it was a bias and consider scratching the varnish to look what’s going on under… No surprise, the CIA wasn’t inactive too. If there wasn’t so much blur and fog about the crapaganda stuff, it’d had gone public much sooner although since the beginning you could smell the fish : as soon there is demonisation of ANY actor and moreover, the use of children, you can be sure it’s propaganda!
As you see, and I gave you serious clues to do your own researches, you will really end to my conclusions and if I had met clues and hard evidences leading to NATO, I would have said to, thus, again, it’s NOT their function as it’s simply a purely military thing founded to coordinate the job between 27-28 armies and even some others outside of NATO.
Now, when it comes to coalition, where many countries have put a few assets, actually, it has nothing to do with all this crap, let’s say that although there were some mistakes, unless it acts nearly as an uninvited guest (well, not totally or they’d be met by S-400 or serious micro-waves totally disturbing their systems), they’re really not a problem for Syria, it’s even the contrary as they have minimised ISIL’s pressure on SAA/SyAAF and Russia should have doubled/tripled its assets and intervened much sooner.
Now, well, had Assad had the kind of understanding I have about air operations, the SHTF could have been handled in about 1-2 years without being priorly equipped as you need about 1-1.5bln$ gear to be able to enforce no drive/interdiction zones with operating costs of about 1.5-2M$ per day (using NATO multirole aircraft made the Kosovo NDZ cost 460M$ per day. You need specialised aircraft to do it but they have the interesting quality of being cheap).

      • …yeah, this guy is an idiot.

NATO is an organization that was expressly created to counter supposed Soviet aggression. Its raison d’etre literally hasn’t existed for more than a quarter of a century. In the absence of a superpower rival NATO’s function as a tool of US imperial control has become painfully obvious.

Anyone who wants to learn about the political realities of NATO would do well to look back 2500 years to the Greek Delian League. A military alliance, ostensibly intended to protect member states from a neighboring superpower, that was in fact merely an imperial tool of the alliance’s most powerful member (in that case, the Athenians).
