BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad refused the U.S.’ offer to back his presidency in exchange for breaking ties with Iran, the Advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir Abdollahian said this week.

“The Syrian President’s visit to Tehran bore a hidden yet great message. The visit of Bashar Al-Assad with the Leader and the president of our country at this time was carried out with several goals,” he said, as quoted by the Fars News Agency.

According to Abdollahian, Assad’s visit to Tehran and his refusal to accept the U.S.’ offer reaffirmed his commitment to both Iran and Hezbollah.

Abdollahian said Assad responded to the U.S. offer by saying in a “loud voice” that Iran and Syria will continue guarding the resistance axis.

The Iranian official would add that reports of Foreign Minister Javad Zarif resigning because he didn’t receive an invitation to the Rouhani-Assad meeting were false.

Ouch, Assad just did the worst mistake of his career…
Thus, he still may raise the stakes if he’s funny : he can obtain MUCH MORE than the Yanks only backing his presidency…

1.) Israeli technology + funding to make Badya al-Sham and other arid areas becoming green as compensation for Golan.
2.) Participation in the exploitation of the Levantine gas basin.
3.) A Marshall-plan to rebuild Syria.

4.) Military help to cleanse Idlib and eventually to have the whole Antioch province (seized by Turkey in 1939) back into Syria = more EEZ for Levantine gas basin => In exchange for genuine peace treaty with Israel

5.) NATO dropping Turkey. Syria could even allow a NATO megabase in Rojava to replace Incirlik => FÜCK TURKEY!

6.) With it all, giving a semi-autonomy to Kurds would do it right : their schooling/culture and police, control of communities/cities and some MPs while SDF or YPG may be absorbed in SAA as Kurdish regiments.

7.) Since making all Syrian deserts becoming green will need serious manpower, let’s solve the Palestinian problem in Judea-Samaria by making them Syrians… While pumping UNRWA money into the Syrian state’s stash for 50 years.

8.) Then liquidating PLO and Hamas while let’s Egypt “eat” Gaza.
9.) A huge solar panels factory, let’s make cheap green energy! Moreover, Syrian salaries are under Chinese ones… Let’s attract big companies+investors.

10.) No interference on Syria-Russia friendship, waivers on all sanctions, protection against potential Turkish or Saudi interference.

=> By doing so, Syria can :
A. Stabilise the Mid-East
B. Becoming rich despite the war damages, in a similar pattern as post WW2 West-Germany

For sure, it will ruin the hope of some with irrational fantasies, but their follies are going nowhere! These are fanatics who dream of battles, death and some mahdi that will NEVER come.

Anyway, those unpleased by such measures are living in a hopeless dream. Better make Syria great again rather than ending with Damascus razed, thanks to some unrealistic idiots.

I’m sad for the Syrian people who will suffer more useless stupid hardship. The Iranian fanatical mullahs are totally incompetent, look at how they mismanage their water crisis!

Their irrational follies are simply leading Iran to its doom.

Just learn from history, it’s not the 1st theocracy around, and not the 1st mixed with a military dictatorship. It ALWAYS ended the same.

At the contrary, Bashar can negotiate serious advantages by helping stabilising the region and make Syria wealthy. Any way, the mullahs are on a self-destruct course.
