According to a report from the Iranian “Tasnim News Agency”, the Iranian Minister of Security, Mahmoud Alevi, and the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassim Suleimani, offered the Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, and his family a safe haven in Iran while the Syrian Conflict continues to rage.

The news agency added that the Syrian President respectively turned down the offer in order to remain in Damascus.

This is not the first time that rumors like this have been spread about the Syrian President and his family by foreign publications; however, Assad does not appear to be affected by these rumors as he continues to make public appearances in Damascus.

Previously, there were rumors that Dr. Assad and his family were fleeing Syria via a Russian naval vessel; this was proven to be false.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Well, as ISIS likes to house european scum, she should be parachuted over Raqqa or Mossul. Same thing for Marine LePen, Anders Breivik and alikes which once rid of ’em, life would be better… I bet the daeshbags would like my two ideas : they’re their white pendants…

“Europeans” you are referring to, might have been born in Europe, but are not native to Europe, nor do they belong to Europe.
