DAMASCUS, SYRIA (8:30 A.M.) – Another Turkish soldier was reportedly killed in the Aleppo Governorate after intense clashes with the so-called “Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham” (ISIS) today.

The Turkish Armed Forces added that as many as 5 more soldiers were lightly wounded during today’s clashes with the Islamic State in northern Aleppo.

Over the last 24 hours, the Turkish Army has suffered 7 deaths and 25+ wounded as a result of their field operations inside Syria.

On Wednesday, the Turkish regime accused the Syrian Air Force of carrying out an airstrike over northeast Aleppo that killed 3 Turkish soldiers near the ISIS stronghold of Al-Bab; this allegation was denied by the Syrian Air Force.

It was said a L-39 bombed @3:30 AM…
Well, I wonder how they did to recognise a type of aircraft at night without themselves having a jet around with a serious FLIR/IRST and I doubt that in such case -yargetting Turkish troops-, the pilot would be enough to let a transponder or IFF “on”… I doubt that the 1976 L-39ZA Syria uses has systems like FLIR/IRST.
Here’s a 1977 L-39ZO, so more recent :

No modern targetting system… If you’ve got to operate at night, you’ll need NVGs, like in the 70’s… Not really the best thing to bomb ground targets efficiently…

L-39? Beautiful aircraft from our country. Now, when we was “freed” from “evil communists” we can make a big s**t here. Our industry was destroyed for USA and “democracy”.

If we mean the same plane. Its L 159 successor was no success. An L-39 NG was announced in 2014. It will go into production 2018 and be a capable lower cost alternative to the West and Russian designs. Source: http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=436
p.s. IMHO not the political change but economics are responsible. You need fairly big series to finance development. And in the aftermath of Warsaw pact versus NATO confrontation the market in Europe shrank.

Geez, you are really naive. Why do you think USA bombarded czech factories at the very end of war? Killing several civilians btw. West bought key industry companies for few bugs after color revolution here and closed them. Simple. No czech military export, good for western companies. The same scenario now running in Ukraine.

No. Because the CZ factories were still used by German war efforts. E.g. to build ca. 2500 of the dangerous Hetzer tank destroyer. Messerschmidt also used CZ factories. Avia S 99 & S 199 aka Me 109 variant… AFAIK Aero Vodochody was not closed. Buying firms and closing the factories just to get the patents and licenses is called internationalization and not anti CZ action. Smirk. p.s. Closing factories in France and Germany and taking the jobs to CZ is called internationalization too but it is anti French/German action. LOL.

LOL! You are a perfect example of brainwashed Stern. You know NOTHING about colonialism. You probably should experience your own medicine you prescripted to the world. BTW. Jobs are in CZ, but money stays in Germany. You should try to work for local wages for some time and you would speak differently. You know nothing.

Germans and French cannot work for CZ wages, housing and all else costs more here. Wages do not matter – what is left at the end of the month matters. I invest it or spill it on French wine. LOL. CZ was a premier league industrial nation once – it is the fault of CZ communism if this changed. German firms are listed at the German stock exchange – who tells You CZ which nationals own the stock? I am into that – they are foreign – mostly US owned. Only the money that German workers have at the end… Read more »

Every word you write proves you know nothing how it is going here. And every word proves you are totally brainwashed. Nothing comes from your head. Sorry for that. No need to explain further.

“a L-39 bombed @3:30 AM” My question to You. Do these old planes have night fight capabilities and are the Syrians planes taking off for night raids? p.s. I recently red only Russian planes are going for night raids.
