BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 P.M.) – Another high-ranking jihadist commander was reportedly killed inside the Idlib Governorate this week, as Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) takes a major hit to their command structure.
Mohammad Al-Mur’i (Abu Yousif Al-Ansari) was killed today when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb near the Idlib Governorate town of Sinjar.
Mur’i was rushed to a local hospital in the Idlib Governorate after the blast, but could not be revived by the medical staff.
Unlike the other assassinations against Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham leaders this week, Mur’i was not killed by a U.S. airstrike; instead, this was likely the work of some local group.
