BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 A.M.) – The Philippine National Police arrested an Egyptian national, Friday, that is believed to be an Islamic State (ISIS) leader, the Manila Times reported today.
According to the report from the Manila Times, Fehmi Lassoued (AKA “John Rasheed Lassoned”) was arrested at an apartment inside the Malate District of Manila city on Friday.
The Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines had issued an arrest warrant for Lassoued after it was believed that he was an Islamic State leader.
Lassoued’s Filipina girlfriend, Anabel Moncera Salpida, was also arrested by the Philippine National Police.
No further details were released.
