BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 P.M.) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that all the territories in the newly proposed safe zone by Turkey should be returned to the Syrian government.

“The idea of a buffer zone in northern Syria should be seen from the perspective of returning all of Syria’s territory to Damascus’ control,” Lavrov said during a press conference.

Lavrov said Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan would be meeting on a later date to discuss the proposed safe zone.

Furthermore, Lavrov heavily criticized Washington over the new Middle East summit they organized to contribute to the solution of the region’s issues.

“We have big doubts that the Middle East summit organized by the U.S. can contribute to the solution of the region’s problems,” Lavrov added.

ottoman jihadi thugs are like lice: once they’ve managed to intrude, you’ll never get rid of ’em.

Lavrov debe pedir y exigir a Erdogan que se retire de las zonas invadidas de Siria o el gobierno Turco seguirá manipulando al gobierno Ruso.

Yes they seem to be on a land grab , even wanting control of the US Al-Tanf base which is on the Jordanian / Iraq border , the other side of Syria from Turkey.

Russians unnecessarily engaged with Turki and wasted precious time last year with the sochi agreement & halted the Tiger Forces & SAA in liberating Idlib.
