The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has reopened the Khanasser Highway from Aleppo to Hama after militants fired a number of mortar shells from a village east of the road; this was the second time in two months that the road was closed due to security reasons.
The SAA, Hezbollah, and Liwaa Al-Quds (Jerusalem Brigades) have captured the Al-Ghannam Farms (Mazra’a Al-Ghannam) located west of Al-Halabi Farms after fierce clashes with enemy combatants.
At Al-Mallah, the SAA – in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Liwaa Al-Quds (Jerusalem Brigades) – have advanced to this village after completely securing Handarat and Al-Halabi Farms to the east.
Earlier today, the SAA and their allies stormed a cluster of farms at Al-Mallah controlled by the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen, resulting in fierce clashes that engulfed this area in northern Aleppo for the majority of the day.
North of Al-Mallah, Jabhat Al-Nusra, Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen, and Harakat ‘Ahrar Al-Sham launched another attack on the village of Bashkoy, attempting to infiltrate past the SAA’s defenses from the western flank; however, the attack was unsuccessful due to fierce resistance from the latter and the constant airstrikes from the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF).
