The 3rd installment of reinforcements from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) has arrived in the Aleppo Governorate, following their transfer from the province of Hama on Tuesday.

According to a military source, the SAA has captured one village in the Khanesser area after violent firefights with Jabhat Al-Nusra – the village was reported as Al-Qalba’at.

In southern Aleppo, the NDF – in cooperation with Kata’eb Al-Ba’ath (Ba’ath Battalions) – made significant progress at Jabal ‘Azzan, capturing a number of buildings at the Chicken Farms before nightfall.

The Syrian Al-Qaeda branch “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Al-Nusra Front) attempted to reenter Bashkoy in northern Aleppo; however, they were repelled for the 4th time in four days by the NDF inside this town.

South of Bashkoy, Hezbollah (Party of God) and the SAA fought off a counter-attack by Jabhat Al-Nusra, killing 13 enemy combatants before they withdrew west.

Fierce clashes were also reported on Wednesday at Bani Zayd, Al-‘Amiriyya, Bustan Al-Basha, Kafr Hamra, Al-Zahra Association, Camp Handarat, Duweir Al-Zeitoun, Al-Rashideen, and Al-Bureij.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
