BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:15 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham were once again filmed using US-manufactured anti-tank missiles against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) during their military operations in west Aleppo on Friday.

Video footage from west Aleppo showed Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham members firing a US-manufactured TOW missile towards the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the Al-Zahra Association Quarter, scoring a direct hit on the government forces.

While this is not the first instance in which an Al-Qaeda affiliate has used US-manufactured weapons in Syria; it does bring to light international concerns regarding the distribution of these missiles to non-vetted militant groups.

Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham is a rebel group that was formed earlier this year; they are comprised of several jihadist factions, including Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (Al-Qaeda affiliate).
