DAMASCUS, SYRIA (12:20 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) launched a massive assault on the key town of Hader in the Golan Heights today, striking the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses from two different axes near Tal Al-Ahmar.

Backed by Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and the Free Syrian Army (FSA), the jihadis rebels stormed the Syrian Arab Army’s positions with hundreds of fighters in order to overwhelm the latter’s defenses on Wednesday morning.

However, this Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham offensive would not last for very long on Wednesday, as the Syrian Armed Forces not only repelled the attack, but also, killed more than 80 enemy combatants (Syrian Army estimate) storming their positions in an open field.

Images from the battle that are too gruesome to share, show several militant corpses scattered around Tal Al-Ahmar after failing to breach the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses on Wednesday morning.
