BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – Scores of jihadist rebels from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham were reportedly killed by the Syrian Arab Army in the Dara’a Governorate over the last 48 hours, an military official claimed on Wednesday.
“Syrian Army units killed and wounded 74 terrorists from Jabhat Al-Nusra inside the Al-Nazhin Neighborhood, Koum Al-Rahman, and Tal Shihab area of Dara’a,” the military official stated.
While Jabhat Al-Nusra no longer exists, the military official was likely referring to elements from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham that are presently fighting inside the Dara’a Governorate.
Al-Masdar has no way of verifying these jihadist numbers, so the 74 casualties claimed by the military official is unconfirmed.
