On Friday afternoon, a Saudi-led Coalition helicopter was reportedly shot down by the Yemeni forces near the coastal province of Taiz.

A military source told Al-Masirah that the helicopter gunship was shot down by the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees at the Azzan area of the Dhubab district inside Taiz.

The helicopter was reportedly firing indiscriminate attacks on civilians.

The source added that Coalition jet planes later launched two airstrikes on the same area after the helicopter was shotdown.

Meanwhile in the Taiz Governorate’s southwestern countryside, the Yemeni army and Houthi forces targeted a Coalition and pro-Hadi Popular Resistance Committee (PRC) units gathering in the Waziyah district with Katyusha missiles.

The missiles reportedly hit the targets with high accuracy, resulting in many dead and injured among pro-Hadi forces.

In other developments, Yemeni army also made new gains, taking more areas in Jabal Habashi after clashes with pro-Hadi forces.
