At least 29 people have been killed at a football match in the village of Iskandariyah, a town 40km south of Baghdad.
“They were just handing the trophy to the winners, the suicide attacker blew himself up in the crowd,” Al-Asriya, a police captain from the village, told Agence France Presse.
The police captain continued that at least another 50 people were injured.
Amaq, the media wing of ISIS, has claimed that the terrorist group were responsible.
With the contraction of ISIS, they have begun increasing their suicide attacks.
