The Syrian Arab News Agency has reported that three children were killed along with three injured people in a terrorist rocket attack on al-Qossour neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city on Friday afternoon.

The city in recent weeks has been rocked by intense ISIS offensives; however, the Syrian Arab Army and the National Defense Forces under the leadership of General Issam Zahreddine have successfully repulsed any advancement attempts by the terrorist group.

A source in the province told SANA reporters that ISIS terrorists targeted al-Qossour neighborhood with two rocket shells which fell on residential buildings in the area surrounding Hassan Attra School, claiming the lives of three children, injuring three persons and causing material damage to citizens’ properties.

Deir Ezzor city is a government held enclave completely surrounded by ISIS in eastern Syria.
