According to a US spokesman, coalition air strikes have caused the death over approximately 2.500 Islamic State (ISIS fighters) in Syria and Iraq during the past month. Effectively, this puts the death toll at almost 100 jihadists a day.
However, no evidence was given by the American official to back the claim. On the other hand, the Russian Air force, Syrian Arab Army and Iraqi Armed Forces have undoubtedly caused more ISIS deaths in the month of December, killing countless terrorist fighters; especially in Ramadi, Deir Ez-Zor, eastern Hama, around Kuweiris Airbase and at the town of Mahin.
Russian air strikes are coordinated with the Syrian Arab Army and the collaboration is allowing for more specific and effective targets. Russian commanders prefer to use military jets to enable large-scale ground offensives. Meanwhile, the US tends to aim for ISIS infrastructure.
