Iraqi MP, Vian Dakhil, is the only Yazidi in the Iraqi Parliament.
On a television interview last week, she states that nearly 6000 women have been enslaved by ISIS. She continues that the Yezidi women are enslaved and raped. However, with the case of the Shi’ite women, under ISIS distorted interpretation of Islam, they must be killed.
She highlights that the women are usually killed by burning.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Is this the woman who broke down in the parliament describing how the Yazidis were being killed by ISIS? It was very moving.

It has everything to do with #Islam. #IslamicState is the perfect moniker. https://t.co/srYFVsM4h2 … …
