Yesterday dozens of Liberal activists have rallied in front of the Saudi Consulate in Karachi Pakistan, to denounce the execution of prominent Shi’ite cleric, Nimr al-Nimr by the Saudi Regime Government.
They made their voices heard by presenting a memorandum to the Saudi Consular Office.
Civil society members strongly condemn the continuous human rights violation and judicial killing of Seikh Nimr and they demanded a free and fair trial. Further they also demanded to release Ali Nimr (Nimr al-Nimr’s nephew) and other political prisoners who have been held without charge and trial in Saudi custody since 2012.
Further, prominent Shi’ite religious party (Shia Ulma Council) also held a protest at Press Club Karachi.
