BEIRUT, LEBANON (07:21 A.M.) – The head of Iran’s veterans’ affairs office, Mohammad Ali Shahidi told state-run IRNA News on Tuesday that more than 2,000 Iranians fighting terrorists in Syria and Iraq have been killed.

“Some 2,100 martyrs have been martyred so far in Iraq or other places defending the holy mausoleums,” Shahidi claimed.

Iran has been the main backers of the government’s in Syria and Iraq to fight terrorist forces.

Tehran also supports the families of non-Iranian’s killed in their organized militias by giving citizenship and housing.

If one Russian soldier be killed all speak about him and his bravery but if thousands of Iranian or Khorasani (so called Afghan) soldiers be killed, nobody speak about them and their bravery. God bless you and your souls. Those who did Jihad and dealt with God without any terrestrial expectation.

When 1 is killed, it’s a drama, when it’s 100, it’s hecatomb, when it’s 1000, it’s terrible, when it’s 100k or more, it’s statistics :/
Nevertheless, the job these poor guys did by spilling their blood in Syria is not useless as be sure that all these “takfiris” have all the Shia crescent (and Israel) on their “kill list”… For a beginning… Then? The world!

That number is not that of Iranian born citizens, but of all the troops that fight under Iranian flag and command………Besides, Iran has done very well…….Between 2003 and 2007, the big mouth USA lost over 5000 of their best in Iraq………

Iran’s contribution MUST be remembered.
But, this is also due to faulty military tactics that wasted many men
and commanders.
This is in the process of improving as they are now studying and implementing Russian conventional tactics (with active help from the RF military).

Whaau……2100 Iranians KIA …….so……how many of Iranians in Syria? And how many from Hizbe, Afghanistan, Iraq?????? And are there any people from Syria willing to fight and die for Assad except for his Alawites???? Isnt it the reason why Assad isnt able to end the war with all this help from foreign powers, with total air supremacy and total material advantage??????

Between 2011 and mid-2016, about 320k shithadists and mercenaries entered Syria through Turkey, 120k went back home, 95k were killed. 40% of SAA were also lured into joining the “revolution” (mostly by being proposed highest salaries)… These are very serious numbers : a real serious army!

Yeah….. and Russian airstrikes are killing hundreds of Daesh almost every day. But ….. once more: how many locals (except for Alawites – they fight for survival, no doubt about that) are ready to really fight for Assad????

Enough to fight all native Assad opponents. As said before 60% of the SAA did not abandon the Syrian flag.

Foreign personnel was only needed because of 320K foreign Jihadis.

If it was not for Iran, Hezbollah & Russians……ISIS flag would have been flying in Damascus. All minorities would have been butchered. Question need to be asked why are not even single person from minority sect among so called “moderate terrorists”?
