BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:45 P.M.) – According to two official sources, one American and one European, that have conducted separate investigations into the current demographic of ISIS forces throughout Syria and Iraq, the terrorist group still possess a division-equivalent worth of fighters and that, of this, about 20 percent are Europeans.

Whilst official US intelligence estimates put the total strength of ISIS forces in Syria and Iraq at about thirteen thousand fighters, Gilles de Kerchove, a European Union counter-terrorism chief, believes that about 2,500 Islamic State militants currently waging jihad in these same two countries are Europeans.

Speaking to the German-based Welt media outlet, de Kerchove claimed that ISIS forces in Syria and Iraq once possessed within their ranks about 5,000 militants of European origin.

Of this number, de Kerchove estimates about one thousand have since been killed whilst another 1,500 have (rather alarmingly) returned to Europe.

Can be originating from Africa more likely and they can be 2nd, 3rd or now even 4th generation, very likely of mixed ethnicity too, especially for 3rd/4th gen.
Thus, there are also full grassroot Europeans too : some end merged with these loonies and well, it’s a sect with brainwashing techniques…
Nevertheless, it’s highly wishable that these roaches do not come back and it’s clear that we won’t be regarding about their fate, just avoid to do some records…

Well, the only nations making sure to eradicate the roaches en sito are Russia, Syria including the SDF and Iran whilst Iraq and the popular resistance government of Yemen are at least trying the best they can. Everybody else, especially the so-called ‘coalition’ is just providing a strategic realignement including state-run mass evacuations to Europe, convenient transport to Afghanistan, nowadays to Bangla Daesh and so on as these terrorists are still needed to justify the smokescreen “war on terror” and “humanitarian interventions”, in particular the true global power projection objectives behind such “noble causes”. You cannot fight a supposedly neverending… Read more »

This number is rather low compared to the fight IS puts up.

I read about the introduction of compulsory conscription in the IS held areas. Does that have a large impact on their numbers? Would those largely untrained ex-civillians be effective?
