BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) – Despite losing a massive chunk of territory yesterday, a lone ISIS suicide bomber managed to conduct a deadly mission against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in rural Aleppo on Wednesday, according to a bulletin released by Amaq Agency.

The Islamic State driver targeted a gathering of Syrian government troops with a truck stashed with explosives near the newly captured town of Al-Khafsa, killing 11 SAA soldiers and destroying a tank in the process.

The story could not be independently verified by Al-Masdar News; last week, an AMN military source revealed how Amaq Agency had fabricated a similar story.

Meanwhile, the SAA captured a batch of new villages along Lake Assad on Wednesday. More news to follow on this development shortly…

I agree with you.

On a side note, the author mentionned that the suicide bomber destroyed a tank too which I find strange tbh. In my modest knowledge, a suicide vehicule can’t do that except if the car entered “inside the tank” which is not possible technically 😛

Well, you know, a Hellfire has only 9kg explosive aboard and is supposed to blow any tank, well, there is also the speed that affect, cf the CRV7 rocket that is very fast and can pierce a T-72 under any angle without warhead. There were never any tank to survive a subsonic AGM-65 Maverick with a 54kg warhead and it’s not really a problem to carry 300-500k explosives in a car, so, such road missile can hit a tank and also kill people around :/ Now, if you listen to Amaq, they also shot down about 600 or 700 aircraft… Read more »

I’m going to be the dissenting voice and claim Amaq is pretty d**n credible and accurate. Almost all of their developments even when it seems blatantly untrue later become reality, even when it is early on. Amaq isn’t like other Daesh propaganda and doesn’t claim ridiculous fake news – it hasnt’ once claimed to have shotten down any aircraft(except a few, like a Syrian MiG23 in Palmyra which was true)

Funny fact, I fell on several “scores” pictured and… Uncle Ho and Giap would have been crazy jealous of such number of aircraft… Had it been real 😉
