HAMA, SYRIA (6:00 A.M.) – On Tuesday night, Al-Masdar News reported that over 50 jihadist rebels were killed during the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) wide-scale counter-offensive in northern Hama.

However, since then, Al-Masdar News has learned that the estimated number of dead jihadists in northern Hama has risen to over 100 casualties.

A Syrian Arab Army officer told Al-Masdar this morning that scores of jihadist rebels were killed during the intense clashes at the towns of Kawkab and Ma’an on Tuesday, estimating that over 100 members from Jund Al-Aqsa (Al-Qaeda franchise), Jund Al-Sham (Chechen group), and Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) were killed after being completely overrun.

Al-Masdar is unable to verify this estimated death toll, but the images posted by the Tiger Forces on Tuesday night do show a large number of dead militants scattered around the Kawkab area.
