أرسل الجيش التركي قافلة جديدة من قواته إلى محافظة إدلب، لإنشاء نقطة مراقبة أخرى في الريف الجنوبي الغربي للمحافظة.

ووفقاً لتقارير محلية من نشطاء مؤيدين للمعارضة، اتجه الجنود الأتراك إلى بلدة الصرمان في جنوب غرب إدلب، حيث يتم إنشاء نقطة المراقبة الجديدة.

وكان الجيش التركي أعلن مؤخراً أنه سيقيم نقطة مراقبة بالقرب من مدينة جسر الشغور الاستراتيجية المجاورة للحدود الإدارية لمحافظة اللاذقية. وتأتي هذه الخطوة من جانب الجيش التركي بعد أيام فقط من اختتام الجولة الأخيرة من محادثات السلام في مؤتمر أستانا.
