По поступающим сведениям, ВВС Египта отказались от участия в возглавляемой Саудовской Аравией коалиции стран, атакующих Йемен, после 12 месяцев проведения военной операции.

По словам некоторых египетских представителей, правительство страны приняло данное решение спустя несколько часов после встречи главы Службы разведки Египта со своим сирийским коллегой.

Пока правительство АРЕ не делало официального заявления на этот счет. Если информация о выходе Египта из коалиции будет подтверждена, Саудовская Аравия потеряет своего ключевого союзника по военной кампании в Йемене.
