On Sunday evening, the Syrian Al-Qaeda group "Jabhat Al-Nusra" reported the death of their commander of military operations in the Kurdish Mountains (Jabal Al-Akrad) of northeastern Latakia after an intense battle with the Syrian Arab Army's 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard.
The terrorist commander was identified as 'Abdel-'Aziz Al-Dibaykhi - a Saudi national with the nom de guerre of "Abu Hamza".
According to intelligence reports, Al-Dibaykhi was a senior officer in Al-Qaeda before the Syrian Conflict.
Al-Dibaykhi reportedly participated in both the Iraqi and Afghani wars against the U.S. Armed Forces prior to his "Jihad" in Syria.
His death in northeastern Latakia could not come at a worse time for his terrorist organization, as they are currently retreating along several fronts near the Turkish border.
